Dental Bridges

Do you have a small denture that you hate wearing? Have you been told you aren’t suitable for dental implants? Do you have an old bridge that needs replacement? Why Dental Bridges?

A bridge is sometimes used to replace a missing tooth, often when dental implants or dentures are not possible or desirable. A false tooth, usually made out of cosmetic ceramic material, is permanently attached to one or both teeth either side of the gap.

Replacing missing teeth not only improves things inside your mouth but it can have a major impact on the structure of your face, helping to improve your overall appearance and confidence.

A bridge is a replacement for one or more missing teeth. It is a good solution if you don’t have many missing teeth, or if your missing teeth are all on one side of your mouth. It is important to replace missing teeth to prevent your remaining teeth from drifting into the empty space, as well as to restore the appearance of your smile.

Your Dentist will have a chat with you about your goals and make a full assessment of the tooth replacement needs. From this they will be able to discuss your best options, including costs and timescales, to help you make an informed decision.

“I’ve never been a fan of going to the dentist after a bad experience. Another dentist made me bridges that made my front teeth look like piano keys. After getting to know David and the team I was finally confident to start work on my front teeth. I am so happy with the end result, I feel like the old me again! I smile all the time, I don’t try to hide my mouth. I will happily have my photo taken and finally have my confidence back! Thank you very much David and the team for making me feel great again.”

review rating 5  I have recently joined the Sedgefield Practice after hearing such good reports from friends in the village. At the age of 79 I have been treated by many dentists over the years. I have to say that Mrs Fiona Wears, after several treatments has surpassed all of them. A recent extraction, normally a worry, was performed with great care and reassurance and no one was more surprised than me when the procedure was completed successfully in such a short time with no issues. After 3 days my gum is healing nicely.
