Quick Straight Teeth
Your Questions Answered
If you’re thinking of straightening you teeth, you probably have lots of questions. Here are a few we often get asked by patients. But you’re welcome to call us for a chat if you’d there’s something we haven’t covered here!
How long will the treatment take?
How long you’ll need to wear your brace for totally depends on your teeth. Dentist Chris will give you a good idea of how long you’ll wear braces during your first consultation. The average treatment time with Quick Straight Teeth is between three and nine months. So you shouldn’t have to wait long for your new smile!
What will I look like wearing my brace?
Like you! Quick Straight Teeth braces are clear and streamlined so they hardly show. Some patients even say they’ve gone through their whole treatment without anyone noticing. Even if someone does notice you’re wearing a brace, it’s not unusual these days, and they probably won’t bat an eyelid.
Is Quick Straight Teeth safe?
Quick Straight Teeth is as safe as any other braces treatment. There are always potential dental health risks. But Quick Straight Teeth has been used in over 5,000 procedures without any reported problems. At Sedgefield Dental Practice, your dental health is our priority; we’ll do everything we can to make your treatment as safe as possible.
Will my braces hurt?
Your braces might feel uncomfortable for a few days at the start of each new stage of your treatment. This is a good sign, and completely normal, because it means your braces are working. After a day or two, your teeth will adjust, and the pressure from your brace will be less noticeable. Sometimes people take a mild over-the-counter painkiller, but most don’t need to. We’ve had no complaints about severe or long-term pain.
Can I only eat certain foods with a brace?
Good news – you can eat your usual meals and snacks during your treatment. Your teeth may be a little bit sensitive, so you’ll want to take care when eating hard things. Other than that, you can eat pretty much what you like, avoiding sticky foods and fizzy drinks of course.
Will the treatment affect my speech?
Your brace shouldn’t affect how you sound when you talk. Having something in your mouth might feel a bit strange at first, but you’ll get used to it quickly.
Can I smoke during the treatment?
If you smoke, you’ll lose the advantage of wearing almost invisible braces because they’ll start to look stained and stand out. Plus, you’ll be responsible for any damage to your braces as a result. So why not make now the time to give up smoking?
What about chewing gum?
Chewing gum and bubble gum will stick to your braces! It could damage them too. Gum also puts your teeth under stress, so we recommend you avoid it for the whole time you’re having your braces treatment.
How often will I have to wear my braces?
You probably want straight teeth fast, which is why Quick Straight Teeth is so appealing. To make it work, barely visible fixed braces are bonded to your teeth for the duration of your treatment.
Aligners – You need to wear your aligners all the time – except when you’re eating, brushing or flossing your teeth. The ideal length of time to wear these is 20 hours each day; braces only work when you’re wearing them!
How often will I have to see my dentist?
Patients usually come back for adjustments every two to four weeks. Chris will be able to give you a more accurate answer before you start your treatment. We’re open until 8.30pm on a Monday and Tuesday and early from 8.15am on Thursday and Friday mornings so you should find it easy to fit your appointments around your life.
There’s free on-street parking for up to two hours right outside the practice in Sedgefield near Stockton-on-Tees.
How much does it cost?
It really depends on your teeth and what’s needed to get your teeth to where you want them to be. As a rough guide, Quick Straight Teeth prices start from £999 per arch (upper row or bottom row of teeth). But the best thing is to come and talk to us about having braces so we can give you a definite cost.

If your teeth are crowded or overlapping at the front, Quick Straight Teeth could work for you. Why not come and see us and find out? We offer a free consultation, so you have nothing to lose. Our team will be only too happy to help.
